Welcome to a journey through the African Diaspora over time and space through my eyes.

Interview Clip: They Call Her Muffie

Norma Logan, affectionately called Muffie, is the first voice I heard from AAHA. She picked up that very first call. But, I have come to know her in a much greater capacity. She is the diligent worker in the background, thorough and detailed, she is the collections manager at the museum. She is a doer, but definitely retreats from the need to be in the limelight. This interview clip takes place at her home in Bealton accompanied by two other women, family members, her sister Sheila Campbell Washington and cousin Karen Malvin, affectionately called KK.

All 3 give me great insight into our connections and help me to explore Mary Frances Lawson Bailey Smoot and her sister Lucy Lawson Lambert, central figures for the 3 families.
